CONTINUING EDUCATION

Professional practice requires on-going learning to stay abreast of changes and developments in the field.   In each two-year renewal period, certified practitioners document completion of 30 hours of continuing education.   Practitioners can include agency in-service training, college and university courses, seminars and other learning opportunities if they meet the following criteria:

  2. Offers a certificate, transcript, agency training record, registration form, or other credible document that states the name of the training/education, date completed, name of the practitioner, name of the instructor, and total number of hours included.   A wide variety of documentation is accepted but must be relevant to the required competencies.

  3. Was completed during the 2-year renewal period.
